Learn to create and build your own custom wood art frame.
Saturday August 28, 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Do you have unframed art? Do you find store framing too expensive? Tim Quinn will take you through the skills needed to handcraft a custom wood frame for your art from start to finish. All participants will leave with their framed art piece and the skills needed to create custom frames. No prior experience necessary.
You will be learn to use chop saws, miter trimmer, table saw, jointer, various glues, nailers, and clamps.
Please bring in a painting, photograph, print, or any flatwork to frame and leave with a complete custom handcrafted framed art piece that they built themselves. Maximum Art piece size 20″ x 26″ to bring in for framing.
Cost: $90 + $65 materials = $155 Public
$75+ $65 materials = $140 Member
Minimum Class size 4/Maximum 6

Facilitator’s Bio: Tim Quinn learned to frame while working at The Los Angeles County Museum of Art and later ran a business doing custom framing for artists. He is a lifelong artist having studied under Chris Burden and Charles Ray at UCLA and holds an MFA from UCLA.
