Glassblowing Color Overlay Workshop
Prerequisite: for those who have completed Glassblowing 103

Now that you know a little about blowing and you want to take it to the next level with color,
this is the workshop for you. In this short 3-hour course we will focus on various color overlay
techniques using bars of colored glass including the “doughnut pickup”, “drop overlay”, the
“cookie overlay”, the “cup overlay”, and maybe touch on the “Swedish (bubble) overlay”.
Demonstrations will be made of each and participants will get a chance to team up and
practice making basic drop and cookie overlays for the last hour of this workshop.
You’ll be guided by professional glassblowers Robert Kahl and Bill Bratton.
Class minimum 2 students/maximum 4 students. If the class minimum is not met, the class will be rescheduled to a later date.
