Description
Create a Character, Write a Monologue, and Perform It! A Writing Workshop with Alana Cash
6 Class series on Saturdays
Creating a character and writing a monologue for your characters is a fun, creative adventure!
Whether you have writing experience or not, in this class, you’ll ignite your imagination to create one or more 3-dimensional characters using a simple step-by-step process. After that, writing a monologue is simple: asking questions about your character and letting him/her answer them.
Writing in a group builds a community with like-minded people who are supportive of each other and creates a bond that makes it safe to perform or read that monologue whether you have acting experience or none at all.
About the teacher: Alana is an award-winning author and filmmaker. She taught writing at the University of Texas Informal Classes and privately and was one of 60 teachers in the US to be chosen to participate in the PBS series “A Writer’s Exchange.”
