Please plan on spending about 3.5+ hours during the first day of the qualification process.  You will then come back (list specific date/time here, *you must attend the practicum if your intention is to join the Forge, must join within 6 weeks of class) and do the practicum part of the qualification.  This is where you will show that you are proficient in using the equipment without supervision.  There are some machine manuals and videos you can access and review here on our website.  There are also some quizzes you will complete after your qualification hands-on portion.  Do not do the quizzes before the class.

Please dress appropriately for working in the high bay.

  • Closed-toe shoes
  • No loose draping clothing, ties or strings that could get caught in the machinery
  • Tie back long hair
