From a complete metal shop, a glassblowing studio, and a textiles area, to many other studios, we’ve got the equipment you need to make that thing you’ve always dreamt of. We’re constantly upgrading and improving our selection of equipment as well, ensuring you have access to the latest tools and technology.

Our volunteer Area Guides are a dedicated group of passionate hobbyists and professionals, here to support you in every way! They come in every week at a designated time to be available for questions, to teach qualifications, and to keep the space maintained and organized. Get to know them better here and discover the wealth of knowledge and assistance they bring to the community.

Cubicle – A personal space for you to work with access to our conference room, printers, and more! Pricing depends on cubicle, find out more here.
Studio – A personal studio space located in our coworking area. These studio spaces are situated right in front of enormous windows and give you the space to create as you need! Pricing information can be found here.
Family Discount – Any immediate family members get a discount on membership! Each family member is an additional $70/mo.

How old do I have to be to become a member?
Membership is 18+
How can I add a family member?
If you are living in the same household with your romantic partner or family member, they can join at the discounted Family Rate! Just contact us with everyone’s name and pick the Family Rate Membership level when you set up your autopay. If you have any questions, you can reach us at [email protected].
Can I use the space to run my business?
Let us know if you are planning on using the space for your business or other income generating purposes, there may be a higher cost associated with the impact on the space. To find out more give us a call at (530) 446-2777.
What classes and qualifications are available?
We add classes all the time! To find out what classes we’re currently offering, check out the Activities Catalog! Most of our qualification classes (also referred to as certifications) are listed under each studio page as well and are regularly scheduled. If you don’t see a class scheduled that you want or need, fill out the request form here.
What cubicles/studios are available?

What does my membership fee cover?
Rent, lights, insurance, website, equipment acquisition/maintenance/replacement, administration …
It does not cover consumables, firings, propane
What equipment does The Forge have?
We have a list on the Equipment Page. Each of our studios are well stocked and always being expanded as we explore new equipment. If you don’t see a certain piece of equipment let us know! We may have it or can consider getting it, let us know what you’re thinking at [email protected].
What guidance and support are available?
There are lots of ways to learn at the Forge:
- Qualification classes teach you the equipment in each area, as well as how that area works.
- Area Guides in each studio who are here for 4-6 hours each week at a dedicated time to be a resource for you.
- Happy Hours – where area guides or even members share a skill or technique. These casual gatherings are a great way to go deeper into your discipline.
- Mobile Monitor carts – pull up YouTube!
- Take one of our workshops, you get a discount on most when you’re a member.
- Attend a Taster – this is where qualified members in an area help un-qualified members explore a new studio. These are free to members although there is sometimes a small materials charge.
