Make a Beautiful Mosaic House Number Sign with Linda Lansky and Marcy Speck
Add a personal touch to your home’s curb appeal with this unique mosaic house number sign workshop! In this class, you will learn to create a custom street number using vibrant glass, tiles, and even costume jewelry pieces on a durable, weather-proof board. Whether you’re new to mosaic art or have prior experience, this class will guide you step-by-step through the process of designing and crafting your one-of-a-kind house number sign.
During the workshop, participants will:
- Learn Mosaic Basics: Get an overview of different mosaic styles and the components used to create a beautiful design.
- Cutting and Shaping Glass: Master the art of cutting tiles and glass, shaping them to fit your unique layout.
- Design and Layout: Arrange colorful glass and tile pieces to design your sign, securing them with adhesive on a weatherproof board.
- Grouting and Finishing: After your mosaic design has cured, we’ll grout, clean, and polish the piece, leaving it ready to be proudly displayed at your home.
Feel free to bring your own costume jewelry pieces to personalize your design even more! We’ll also provide a variety of materials to choose from.
No previous experience is necessary, and all supplies are provided.
Class Details:
- Who Can Attend: Adults and Teens 12+
- Dates: One Day Class – Wednesday. December 3, 4:00 to 8:00 PM
- Cost: $100 + $30 materials fee
- Participant Limit: 3 minimum / 6 maximum (please note: if attendance does not meet the minimum, the class will be rescheduled)
