Discover the art of woodturning and learn to make a beautiful wood vase using a wood lathe – no experience is required!
Are you interested in woodworking and looking to learn a new skill? In this class, you’ll learn how to turn a unique wood vase out of wood using a lathe. The process is both rewarding and relaxing, as you take a piece of raw wood and turn it into a functional work of wood art. Under the guidance of our experienced instructor, you’ll start by learning the basics of wood lathe operation and safety. Once you’re comfortable with the equipment, we’ll move on to selecting and preparing the wood for turning. With the wood secured on the lathe, you’ll use a series of specially designed tools to shape and hollow your vase.
At the end of the class, you’ll take home a beautiful, hand-turned Vase that you can be proud of. You’ll also have the woodturning skills and knowledge to continue woodturning on your own.
