Youth Programs
Ignite creativity with hands-on art programs that inspire learning and personal growth for youth.
Our mission is to nurture creativity and personal growth in students through a dynamic after-school arts program, prioritizing the artistic process over the final product.
We believe that true learning and expression happen when students are encouraged to explore, experiment, and embrace the journey of creation without the pressure of perfection. By fostering a supportive, open-ended environment, we empower young artists to take risks, build confidence, and discover their own unique paths to self-expression, collaboration, and innovation.
New Experiences & Skills
Every child deserves the chance to discover new art forms and cultivate lifelong skills. Our Maker XD program offers hands-on exploration. Students can, as examples:
- Mold clay into exquisite ceramics.
- Forge intricate pieces of jewelry.
- Design their own skateboards.
This program provides a transformative journey of discovery. By embracing new art forms, students expand their creative horizons. It nurtures a lasting sense of curiosity.
Supplement Youth Education
Imagine your child studying medieval history and stepping back in time to learn the ancient art of blacksmithing. This is just one example of the immersive learning opportunities at The Forge. Our afterschool program offers a diverse array of creative disciplines, including:
- Ceramics
- Digital fabrication
- Sewing
- Jewelry making
- Welding
- Metal fabrication
- Glass arts

SparkLab Camps
Our camps offers a unique opportunity for children in our community to engage in creative activities.
Designed to complement their education, this program will provide access to artistic disciplines that may not be available in local schools.
Camps happen all summer long as well as during Fall and Spring Breaks.
Our goal is to foster creativity, build new skills, and provide a supportive environment for learning.
Youth Maker XD Classes
Youth classes, which we call our Maker XD classes, are typically single or multi-day classes that focus on one particular skill or project.
These classes focus on a single project, and skills are taught through the completion of the project. Making a laser cut LED lamp, turning a wooden bowl, building a skateboard, learning flameworking, blacksmithing are examples of some of the classes we’ve offered.
A Note for Teens – many of our adult classes can be taken by teens, check out the descriptions to see age restrictions for each class!

Interested in Teaching a Youth Program?
Our youth programs rely on the involvement of community members who are excited to share their creative skills with the younger generation. If you have a skill that you’d like to share, please let us know!
