2D Art Explorers – Mixed Media Youth Maker XD Summer Camp
Welcome to 2D Art Explorers, where young artists discover the magic of mark-making, color, and visual tricks that make your eyes do a double-take! This hands-on camp takes campers on a creative journey through four exciting disciplines — all using classic art tools and materials that artists have relied on for centuries.

What We’ll Explore:
Drawing Fundamentals — Campers will build a strong foundation in pencil drawing, learning essential techniques like line, shading, proportion, and perspective. From observational still life to imaginative creations, every student will leave with real drawing skills and the confidence to use them.
Watercolor Painting — Dive into the fluid, expressive world of watercolor! Campers will learn how to work with wet and dry paper, explore brush techniques, and create both still life and imagination-based paintings. It’s colorful, a little unpredictable, and a whole lot of fun.
Printmaking with Recycled Materials — Who knew cereal boxes could make art? Campers will design and build their own printing plates from cardboard, roll on ink, and press unique prints onto paper. It’s a great introduction to printmaking — and a great excuse to eat more cereal.
Optical Illusion Art — Save the best brain-bender for last! Using pencils, colored pencils, paper, rulers, and scissors, campers will create mind-bending 2D optical illusions that will amaze their friends and family.
This camp is perfect for all skill levels — whether your child is picking up a pencil for the first time or already loves to draw, they’ll gain new techniques, new ideas, and a stack of artwork to bring home and proudly display.
Our camps are designed to be both fun and educational, with experienced instructors who are passionate about sharing their skills with the next generation of makers and artists. We take great care to create a welcoming, inclusive environment where every child feels valued and supported.

Please note: All classes require a minimum number of participants and may be rescheduled if that minimum is not met. If this happens, we’ll let you know in advance and work with you to get you into the next available class.
Cancellation Policy
Please review our cancellation policy before booking. If you need to cancel your registration, you must notify us at least 7 days before the class start time to receive a refund. Cancellations made within 7 days are non-refundable.
