Jewelry Soldering 101 w/Karen Olsen Ramsey
Saturday, June 10, 10:00 am – 5:00 pm with 1/2 lunch break
A full-day class to learn and get re-acquainted with basic soldering skills for jewelry making.
In this 6 1/2 hour class for beginners and anyone needing to brush up on their silver soldering skills, you will learn the basics of torch soldering using propane/oxygen torches.
Working in silver, copper, and brass, (sheet and wire), we will cover essential techniques for sweat soldering, butt soldering, pick soldering, and more.
Join Karen Olsen Ramsey and her warm, light-hearted instruction as she guides you through the detailed properties of jewelry-making metals, soldering safety, and multiple soldering techniques. We will complete several simple projects, and you will walk away with the skills and confidence to complete more complex projects in the future.
Cost: $175 + $30 materials
All tools and materials will be provided, and no prior experience is necessary.
