In this comprehensive Ceramics and Pottery Class, we will explore both hand-building techniques and pottery wheel skills to create functional and non-functional ceramics and pottery projects. Class Overview:
- Hand-Building Techniques: Use slabs, coils, and textures to craft unique ceramic pieces.
- Pottery Wheel Exploration: Develop and sharpen your pottery-throwing skills on the Potter’s Wheel. We will cover the basics of wedging, centering, pulling, and trimming, as well as how to throw bowls and plates.
What’s Included:
- Clay, glazing, and firings are included in the materials fee.
- Everyone is guaranteed to complete a pot, showcasing their improved skills.
- Enjoy making ceramic pottery with your own unique flair.
Details:
- 6-class series – Monday Nights from 6:00 – 8:00 PM
- All Levels Welcome: This workshop is suitable for beginners and experienced potters alike.
- Materials: All clay and materials are included.
- Projects: At least 3 projects will be made in this series.
Class Information:
- Ages: 16+
- Price: $216 + $55 materials (PUBLIC) = $271
- Participants: Minimum of 5, maximum of 8 (If the minimum attendance is not met, the class will be rescheduled).

About The Facilitator
Pamela Montalbano
Pam Montalbano comes to us from the NY/NJ area where she taught in her home studio, the recreation dept., and the university in the town of Teaneck. She has taught successfully for 25 years. She has exhibited on both the east and west coasts over the thirty-plus years she has been involved with clay. She describes clay as her natural medium, as it’s so malleable and forgiving.
Please note: All classes require a minimum number of participants and may be rescheduled if that minimum is not met. If this happens, we’ll let you know in advance and work with you to get you into the next available class.
Cancellation Policy
Please review our cancellation policy before booking. If you need to cancel your registration, you must notify us at least 7 days before the class start time to receive a refund. Cancellations made within 7 days are non-refundable.
