Description
Members Only Hands-on Flameworking Beads Skillshare and benefit
Beads of Courage Flamework Initiative with Linda Lansky and Marcy Speck
Beads of Courage is a nationwide program providing Arts-In-Medicine for children with serious illnesses. This initiative helps children record, tell, and own their stories of courage. Handmade beads are given to children undergoing treatment to acknowledge their bravery during significant milestones. This year our goal is to be part of the Champions Challenge and we have pledged to donate 500 beads to the program. You can read more about the Beads of Courage Program here.
For members new to flameworking, we’ll provide some starter guidance on using the torch and bead basics. Qualified participants can jump in and start making beads right away. As with the hearts project, we will supply the glass and gas, while you supply the skills and good intentions.
