Create a beautiful hard-cover journal or sketchbook from start to finish in this hands-on book arts workshop.
Using the versatile Australian Hinge Binding, you’ll learn how to construct a professional-quality journal with a hard cover and multiple removable signatures. This unique binding style allows pages to be added, rearranged, or replaced over time, making it ideal for journaling, sketching, note-taking, nature observations, or creative projects.
No previous bookbinding experience is needed. All materials and supplies are provided, and you’ll leave with a finished handcrafted book ready to use.

Optional Follow-Up Workshop
Participants may continue their journey in a second workshop, where the finished books become vessels for creative exploration through prompts, imagery, storytelling, and reflective practices inspired by nature and creativity.

Born into a family of artists and living with artists her entire adult life, Susan has a degree in Fine Art and a four-decade career as an architectural and interior designer, marketing consultant, mentor, and teacher. Susan is deeply passionate about nurturing creativity and genuinely believes everyone can embark on an inner journey of self-discovery that allows them to transcend their personal limitations. Susan is deeply passionate about nurturing creativity, and is a Certified Art Medicine™️ Practitioner and Intentional Creativity®️ Teacher.
