In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll create your own macramé wall hanging while learning the history and techniques behind this timeless craft. Students will learn a variety of basic knots and patterns to create a beautiful wall hanging. This workshop is suitable for complete beginners to the art of macrame or anyone wanting a refresher course!
Optional: Bring your own natural (found) approx 18” branch to use instead of a wooden
dowel for a unique touch!
Using soft, 100% cotton cord, you’ll be guided step-by-step through essential knots such as:
• Half Knot
• Square Knot
• Spiral (Repeating Half Knot)
• Gathering Knot
