Description
Cloisonné Enameling for Jewelry with Karen Olsen Ramsey
Join us for a full weekend workshop to discover the art of jewelry cloisonné enameling in our hands-on class.
In this 3-class series, participants will learn to enamel by covering the techniques of bending fine silver wires and firing them in place on a silver disc. Participants will then learn the processes for cleaning the fine glass granules, placing them into the formed wire shapes, and firing them to form a beautiful enameled piece.
Color and metal choices, as well as color shading will be covered by local jewelry artist Karen Olsen Ramsey.
Each participant will complete at least one enamel piece that can be later set into a piece of jewelry.
All tools and materials will be supplied, and no experience is necessary.
