Class Day — Interactive Workshop (2+ hours)
- Introduction to glass fusing materials, equipment, and applications
- Hands-on training to safely set up, handle, and troubleshoot standard Glass Fusing Lab equipment
- Practice cutting and grinding glass using a variety of equipment
- Studio overview covering how the Glass Fusing Lab is organized and how to make the most of its resources
Please note that this is not a project-based class — it focuses on learning how to safely operate Glass Fusing Studio equipment and follow Forge Studio member processes.
About The Facilitator

Marcy Speck
Marcy Speck is a glass artist and teacher who lives in Nevada City. She’s worked with fused and flameworked glass for the past 15 years. She retired from a career in the software industry a few years ago but has always been intrigued with the color, light and textures of glass art. She enjoys teaching others and seeing what they envision and create.
Please note: All classes require a minimum number of participants and may be rescheduled if that minimum is not met. If this happens, we’ll let you know in advance and work with you to get you into the next available class.
Cancellation Policy
Please review our cancellation policy before booking. If you need to cancel your registration, you must notify us at least 7 days before the class start time to receive a refund. Cancellations made within 7 days are non-refundable.
