Get Certified to work in the Glass Fusing Lab at The Curious Forge
Open to the public – this class teaches you about glass fusing materials, processes and how to use standard Glass Fusing Lab equipment safely. It is not an official or professional certification.
This class qualifies you to use the Forge Glass Fusing Lab area if you are wanting to become a Forge member. Or the class is great for anyone wanting to learn how to appropriately and safely use Glass Fusing equipment in their own shop.
This is approx. a 2+ hour workshop. You will then come back to complete your practicum (approx 1 hour). You must attend the practicum if your intention is to join the Forge, and must join within 6 weeks of this qualification class to be considered qualified to work in the Glass Fusing Lab.
Practicum is where you will show that you are proficient in using the equipment without supervision by completing a fused glass project.
Price: Public $75
Additional Material Purchase required: At your practicum you will be able to choose materials at The Forge and make a fusing project as part of your certification so a materials purchase of approximately $15-$30 is required. Payment can be made using cash or PayPal.
Minimum 1/Maximum: 4 participants
Practicum date: additional 1 hour to be scheduled on an individual basis with the facilitator.
