Glassblowing for Beginners Level 1 – An introduction to Glassblowing
Experience the enchanting art of glassblowing and transform molten glass into a stunning physical creation in just 3 hours! This beginner-friendly class is designed to introduce you to the fundamentals of glassblowing and let you unleash your creativity.
Starting with a brief safety and tool identification talk, we’ll quickly move on to the exciting part – working with hot glass! You’ll have the opportunity to gather glass, manipulate it with fire and tools, and shape it into a beautiful work of art. Under the guidance of our experienced glassblower, you’ll create a one-of-a-kind colored glass paperweight that you can proudly display in your home or office. This hands-on class will allow you to experience the magic of glassblowing while learning a new skill that you can continue to develop. Class minimum 2 students/maximum 4 students. If the class minimum is not met, the class will be rescheduled to a later date.

About The Facilitators
Rakel Kieding
Rakel completed the three year glass blowing program at Kosta Glascenter in Sweden in 2010. She loves teaching eager students the dance of blowing glass, where flow and fun are number one.In her own glassy life, she is most pleased when the organic shapes that speak of playfulness are harmoniously met and combined with the symmetrical shapes that speak clear truths and only accompanies intention and mastery. She has always enjoyed transparent green, pink and opaline, but nearest to her heart is clear glass, absolute magic.

Cancellation Policy
Please review our cancellation policy before booking. If you need to cancel your registration, you must notify us at least 7 days before the class start time to receive a refund. Cancellations made within 7 days are non-refundable.
