Description
How I Made My 3½-Foot Wall Clock – Members Only Skillshare
Presentation with Tom Blais
Wednesday, 10/21 | 6:00 PM – 7:00 PM | Curious Forge
Come see how Tom designed and built a 3½-foot diameter wall clock from wood and metal, and hear the story behind the challenges he solved along the way.
Skills Taught: Tom will walk through his project from concept to finished piece, including how he approached the design, planned a build at this large scale, and combined wood and metal in a single project. You’ll hear what worked, what didn’t, and how he solved the fabrication problems that came up, giving you practical ideas you can bring to your own projects.
Why Skills Are Important: Big, ambitious projects come with challenges you won’t find in smaller builds: layout and accuracy over a large diameter, joining different materials, and keeping everything balanced and true. Learning from someone who has already worked through those problems can save you time, materials, and frustration. Whether you’re dreaming up your own statement piece or just curious how a project like this comes together, this session is a chance to get inspired and see what’s possible with the tools and shops at the Curious Forge.
Skillshares are free for members, please reserve your space with Free Ticket so we know to expect you.
